Peter Kostrobala, Treasurer

I have been HIV+ since 1999 and an AIDS Survivor since 2008. I have previously been treasurer of my HOA and prior to the death of my partner spent most my volunteer time in theatre and performing arts.  Since his passing I've concentrated my volunteer time in organizations supporting the LGBTQT and HIV/AIDS communities such as Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center, Desert AIDS Project, AIDS Assistance Program / Food Samaritans and now LKA-PS.  As my resiliency and stamina improve I hope to increasingly become an advocate, activist and standard-bearer for the communities I am a member of.

Marj Martin, Secretary

Marj has been positive for 36 years. About a year into being positive I moved to Hollywood (Los Angeles) from Whittier to be closer to the extra-curricular activities of Shanti, PLUS, Act-Up-LA, Together to Grow Support Group, Louise Hay and Marianne Williamson. I also stayed involved by making Quilt panels, marching in Washington DC  for 3 years while doing Quilt monitoring.  I was also in Aids Us 2, a stage production of all types of people affected and infected by the virus.  After disability ran out at 65, I went back to my beloved work as a medical technologist in a hospital lab in Apple Valley and worked full time till I was 71.  I have been retired for 6 years now and participate at DAP and am part of the HIV and Aging Research Project, Palm Springs (HARPS-PS) and now LKA
